The age old question of which came first – the chicken or the egg – but with a branding twist! šŸ£ Which should you focus your attention on first – the brand reputation or the brand logo and colours?

Trick question! Because even though it seems like it would make more sense for the brand logo and colours to come first (and is the usual process), I’ve seen lots of successful businesses go the other route!

Businesses who just jumped in, started sharing their products and built up a following, a loyal customer base and a reputation for themselves. After sitting back and looking at the success and determining where to go from here, they then started to look at seriously branding.

And kudos to them! It means they already have a strong vision of what their brand should look like, because they’ve been living it for their customers already.

But if you’re just starting out and don’t know what step one is yet, a brand logo and colours can help give you that direction and helps to avoid rebranding in the future.
